Walther adapted by putting the PPK barrel and Slide on a PP Frame giving a slightly taller pistol. Around 1983 Interarms made a deal with Walther to assemble PPK/S and PPK from Walther made parts into complete pistols. I believe that they started with the PPK/S because Walther had those parts made and soon were making a real PPK. Though a blowback like most of its predecessors and constructed of a slide that surrounded a fixed barrel in much the same manner as the earlier Model 8, it possessed a wonderful DA that allowed the pistol to be carried with the chamber loaded and the hammer all the way forward.

its a Walther PP in 7.65 (.32?) There are very few markings on it ,a few stamps of acceptance and the matching serial numbers. The usual Walther' scroll and model designation are not on the slide - nor does it appear to have been re-blued, I read that this was a wartime procedure to speed up manufacture, but I dont know.
